JSC «ÎTP Bank» together with «Brig-Retail» LLC carried out implementation of the project «Audit of business processes for purchasing of material assets and services» during the period from September, 8th till October, 12th, 2010.
For the period of over 3 years, JSC «ÎTP Bank» uses functional capabilities of SAP ECC 6.0, SRM and IBM Lotus Notes systems for management of its processes linked to purchasing of material assets and services. IBM Lotus Notes, in particular, is used for workflow management on purchasing with remote regions.Some changes have taken place in the organization of Bank’s purchasing processes since the start of these systems in the operation and maintenance phase. In turn, this led to the need of considering the use of advanced features of information systems to provide better support for managing of these business processes.
The main objectives of the project «Audit of business processes for purchasing of material assets and services » were the analysis of purchasing process, the determination of area of their optimization and also to find the direction of development of the business software used in the bank.
Following the ASAP methodology and standards of auditing of business processes adopted in “Brig-Retail”, we analyzed the business processes for purchasing material assets and services, as well as, business processes linked to SAP modules that exist in JSC «ÎTP Bank». Also we analyzed the organization of procurement workflow processes in the environment of IBM Lotus Notes system and we considered the possible integrations between SAP and IBM Lotus Notes systems.
As a result of the project, the experts of "Brig-Retail" LLC, taking into consideration the existing processes analysis and methods of their implementation in SAP system, have provided higher management of JSC “OTP Bank” with a pool of recommendations on improving the procurement processes and further support of these processes by bank’s information systems.
The successful implementation of this project has been made possible due to the clear definition and assignment of tasks by the JSC “OTP Bank” project team as well as due to the fast decision making from the “Brig-Retail" experts involved with the project.
The project has been implemented at the highest standard, in accordance with its plan and in the specified period of time.
