Dneprospetsstal Electrometallurgy plant being a leading Ukrainian enterprise and one of the leaders of special metallurgy in CIS countries in cooperation with BrigRetail consultancy have announced about a successful closure of the project on migration of SAP ERP system to a new version - 6.0. Additionally, new functional modules have been implemented within SAP ERP system: “Production Planning and Mangement” and “Project Management”.
With the purpose of informational model improving and increasing efficiency, it has been decided in year 2007 to make a migration of the active SAP R/3 system, version 4.6Ñ, - to a new one - SAP ERP ECC 6.0. A general contractor has been nominated BrigRetail consultancy according to the results of the earlier announced tender.
The project has started up in July of 2007 and in January of 2009 a new version of SAP ERP system has been launched in the industrial operation. The main project goal has been reached. This goal was to implement a management model within enterprise using standard solutions of SAP ERP system. In addition, there was a strong need in obtaining of due information for keeping proper management accounting.
Within project limits the project team consisting of Dneprospetsstal’s and BrigRetail’s specialists has made a full scope of jobs as per the approved Customer’s project statements.
As a result of the transfer to a new system the following tasks have been realized:
- Improving of a dataware required for providing of a day-to-day enterprise management and due management decision-making being realized under conditions of permanently developing enterprise management technologies and procedures.
- Providing of a basic jobs cycle on making production planning and accounting. It covers calendar production planning as per Customer’s orders and accounting of execution of Customer’s orders according to all production stages, control of consumption of raw materials and materials issued as per Customer’s orders, analysis of Customer’s order position production cost.
- Development and realization of a new calculation conception of normative (planned) and actual production cost on the basis of use of standard SAP ERP functionalities (ÑÎ-ÐÑ – Planning of expenses per product on the basis of normative production data and ML-Actual calculation / Material register).
- Providing of a maximum use of standard system functionalities for making economy analysis and evaluation of enterprise activities performance. • Providing of planning, controlling and event investment management operations.
- Providing of control over financial assets using standard FI-FM functionalities.
