In 2009-2010 JSC "UkrSibbank» BNP Paribas Group jointly with "BrigRetail LLC" has realized a project on implementation of "Customer Files Archive" software solution ("CFA") based on the EMC Documentum platform, using the integration with SAP Core Banking.
Banking operations require processing of a large volume of documents at all process stages - from the products point-of-sale to the closing of account. Working with customer files primarily in a paper form makes imperfect the processes of customer information input and employee access to the customer data in accordance with security policy. This factor increases the costs of processing and maintenance of paper documents archives, it also increases the period of time from the client's application to the holding of any financial transaction - opening of an account, loan granting etc. One of the project goals was also the organization of customer service in any branch of the bank, regardless where his/her papers are physically located.
Therefore, JSC UkrSibbank marked as important the acceleration of the procedure of bank customer document entry and access, reducing the cost of search and extract of necessary information for the various branches of the bank, including for debt collection department when dealing with distressed assets. The joint design solution of "BrigRetail LLC" and EMC Company – "Customer Files Archive" corresponded to such tasks.
"Customer Files Archive" solution enables automation of the whole process of corporate documentation processing and storage. It reduces the need in paper documents to a minimum. This archive contains the bank’s customer information (individuals, organizations, business entities). All information about bank’s customers and products, more than 500 document types is stored in Documentum repository and available from SAP system.
The implementation of "CFA" enables increasing employees’ job efficiency by creating of a single electronic repository of customer documents, which led to the effective interaction between the remote structural subdivisions, reduced the time on document finding and access. All mentioned benefits of "CFA" were fully in line with project tasks and, consequently, improved the performance of employees in various bank departments and services and reduced the time needed to make decisions on various issues during the work with customers. "CFA" solution has also enabled the bank to increase customer loyalty and to gain additional competitive advantage in conducting of financial transactions. The given solution and BrigRetail team was highly praised by Bank's specialists. |
